After wanting to go for years but never actually getting around to it, I can happily say I’ve finally gone to MCM Comic Con London!
I decided to surprise my wonderful boyfriend Mark with tickets a few months ago, and it’s safe to say we’d both been very excited and looking forward to it. We only got tickets for the Saturday, and here’s a summary of what we got up to for the day.
As I mentioned in my favourite Halloween movies post, I’m a huge lover of Halloween. It’s one of my favourite times of the year, and I especially love cozying up on the sofa and watching a good film over the Halloween period.
I’ve already covered my favourite scary Halloween films, so here’s a list for those of you who are looking for something a little more light-hearted, in the form of animated Halloween specific films!

I honestly have zero excuse as to why I’ve never gotten around to reading this wonderful collection of poems from the talented Rupi Kaur.
Originally published in 2014, I am aware I’m incredibly late to the party when it comes to reviewing this – but I thought I’d do so anyway incase anyone is wondering whether to pick it up.
I’ve been a massive fan of the Brighton Street Diner for the past 4 years or so. Held in Brightelm Gardens, Queens Road from 11am – 3pm every Friday, it’s a great little local street food market where delicious local vendors sell their food.
Plus, it’s only a 5 minute walk from the office for me, so if I’m not saving the pennies and feel like a treat it’s the perfect place to go.
And, that’s exactly what I felt like this Friday. I often bring my own lunch to work but I forgot this week, so I decided I’d wander on down to the street diner and see what took my fancy.
I absolutely love Halloween, and that love transcends to all things horror! I am a huge fan of both horror fiction and movies, and not to mention horror related podcasts. Of course, they’re not everyone’s bag, but if you enjoy a good scare, I’ve come up with a list of my top scary movies to get you in the mood!
And, with only a few weeks to go until the special day/night… now is the perfect time to get some Halloween watching in!
