Harry Potter gifts

Yay! First day of Blogmas is here! I’ve never taken part in Blogmas before so I’m super excited, although it’s going to be a huge challenge as I’m pretty sporadic in posting anyway and December is such a busy month for me.

I’ve nearly finished all of my Christmas shopping, but I know lots of people will be starting from today! So, I thought why not put together a Christmas gift guide for Harry Potter lovers?! I had so much fun making this list, and now I pretty much want everything for myself…

For my birthday this year, my wonderful soul of a boyfriend Mark bought us tickets to go to the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio tour at Leavesden Studios. I hadn’t been there since my 21st birthday two years ago, and since then there have been a lot of changes and new openings that I was desperate to get around to seeing!

Harry Potter tag

I came across the Harry Potter tag as Annina from Blattzirkus posted her answers.

And, of course with Harry Potter being my favourite thing in pretty much the entire world, I had to do it! I’ve left the questions themselves at the bottom of this post, so if you’d like to do the Harry Potter tag yourself – please do get involved!

Harry Potter illustrated books

Anyone who knows me will know I am an absolutely huge Harry Potter fan, and have been for nearly as long as I can remember.

Years of queuing up for midnight releases of the books/movies and devouring both at every opportunity I could get have all led up to a pretty huge obsession!

So, I’m sure you can understand my excitement when the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated edition was released on the 3rd of October. Not only is it one of my favourite books/films, but Jim Kay always lends the stories such a unique and beautiful vision, and I was especially interested in how this would translate – as it’s the book and film in the series where it starts to take a darker turn.

Now I’ve got the 3 books that have been released in the Illustrated Collection so far, I thought I’d do an overall round-up, as not only are the stories themselves so special to me, but the illustrations from Jim Kay are just as spellbinding themselves, and any one of the page spreads would make an incredible addition to any Potterheads wall!
